Saw something interesting today. A fellow had taken a school bus and cut off the roof and seats . He welded a piece of plate metal just behind the drivers seat. He had round hay bales stacked just like you would stack on a gooseneck trailer.

My neighbor had the same idea  Kind of funny looking.

Local feller is big into the ASTPA. He made the top of a school bus taller so the tractor with the roll cage would fit inside. Hauls his tools, tractor, ramps and crew in one vehicle. Everyone knows who it is when he pulls in.

Lots of things you can do with a school bus if you have a welder and time. :) :)
OOPS!! sorry. I may be off topic and just the second post.

Nope Cert. You are still on topic.

i know of a young lady that has a school bus she hauls calves to the sale barn in. Gotta be a smelly ride. Also seen them sunk in the ground for a calf shelter. There is a pasture about 30 minutes from me with 4 of them.

I admire her tenacity and imagination! School buses for calf shelter might be taking it a bit far, but I support what works! ;-)

Theres lots of neat uses for a used school bus.

Make a chicken coop out of it
portable feeder
storage bin

Seen'm haulin hogs to market!

I used to work at feedmill when I was younger. Had a farmer that would come in every fall to have his feed crushed. Brought it in a school bus w/o seats. He'd bring in hay and corn and we'd grind it for him, sack it up, and load the bus down with feed. He'd take it back to the farm, park it and feed his cows right off the bus. The bus stayed parked in one spot all year long. It was kinda like a portable feed storage building.

A portable chicken coop is hard to top. The birds really like to roost on the seat backs and look out the windows!
