Is anyone familiar with King Ranch´s santa cruz hybrids and how they perform. thank you all.

Never had a Santa Cruze animal But take the two breeds that created them and no problems with them. Romour has it that they used the Red Angus with the Gerts to cut down on thr sheath and other Brahma fetures.

I believe there is South Devon mixed in them as well.

I think they're 1/2 Gert, 1/4 Red Angus, and 1/4 Gelbvieh. Don't know anyting about perfprmance, though.

According to the king ranch propaganda this is correct.

The cattle were developed by crossing SG x RA with SG x GV, thus the half SG, 1/4 RA, 1/4 GV.

The Gert gave heat tolerance and milk, the RA improved carcass and GV was used for performance.
