Was told today that salt in mineral can cause other components in the mineral lose their "potency". Anyone else heard of this? The reason I ask is the last time I filled the mineral feeder I decided to cut the expensive mineral with cheap mineral and made it 1/2 and 1/2.

Pure BS. If you're gonna mess with the mineral just replace all of it.
