What is the reason rancher's sale their calf's at weaning age and do not keep them for steers and fatten them up?

We sell most of our steer calves at weaning because we don't have a set up where we can feed them out, and don't have the time or energy to market the finished product.

Just depends on your circumstances.

Just depends on your circumstances.

Plus the sooner you sell the sooner you get a return on your investment.
