I penned and sold 6 400-500#ers and a cull pair and a cull cow Monday. our market had low numbers this week they noramally run 1200 to 1800 and only had 800 this week. calves done well avg 253 ctwt. old cull cow did not bred back on time she was 4+ months bred but should have had a calf this fall. she had a rough time last winter so it was time for her to go 1.30#. on the pair I just never liked her. she was a little roach backed (always been that way) and raised a good calf but she was not what I want as a foundation for my herd brought 2300. and went back to a farm.

yes, I will buy a couple more heifers to replace the cows. I kept a couple of heifers so I still growing the herd.

253cwt is pretty good on those heifer calves where you are. Glad they did well.
