Sad Morning Here at Flying L

Crocket one of my Border Collie's passed away during the night. Boone "Crocket's brother" and I went and buried him and we've just got back. I've had them since '03 and I hated to let him go. Could write for days of all our experiences and stories of Crocket. I'm choked up now. Just wanted to let everyone know I fully recommend a Border for a pet and loyal helping companion.

We lost our Border back in March.Had him since 2000. A great friend.Loved kids and anything lttle got treated gently.Rode a lot of miles with me.

Mike, I hate to hear that. Sorry. Amazing where time goes. I have thought about the passage of time and all that does with it. When it is gone, other than memories that have no tangible value, it is as if it were nothing. Nor do we hold the future. All each of us regardless of age, 10 or 80, has is the precious present.

Found out some of the cows were out this morning as well. Just happened to be Boone and I who found them out. Sure could have used Crocket's help. Boone was like me, we weren't up to speed this morning. Think I'll start sometimes looking for a pup, really think Boone needs a side kick. Gonna be a bit hard for me to consider any for awhile, but I'll know it when I see it and the time will be right.

Sorry to read about your loss. Yes, losing a pet is like losing a family member. I have lost my share of pets through the years. It really hurts. Think about the good memories that you have. It will help.

Bought a new pup yesterday out of TN. He's an Australian Shepherd. Should be right at 7 weeks old. He's a little guy but is already showing potential. He isn't Crocket but he's new and is pretty fun to work with and helps Boone and I when we're missing Crocket. I'll try and add a good pic of him later.

Awe, it always helps to have a puppy around when you are sad. I know they put a smile on my face every time!

Sorry about your loss. We have a female Aussie and love her. I haven't let her around the cows much as she's more of a family pet and my wife would hate me if something happended to her.
