Anyone price Ryegrass seed this year ?
I have always been nervous about planting this early. I've had army worms come in on regular pasture in the fall. It happens in years just like this when we get these late rains, with lots if new growth.Mine is already planted..View attachment 20174
Them sap suckers will destroy Bermuda grass and wheatWill the army worms destroy all grass types or are they particularly fond of rye grass?
The tend to go after the youngest or best fertilized grass from what I have seen. So they like a short, young rye grass plant or a well fertilized and irrigated coastal field. That's what they go for in this area. Will the army worms destroy all grass types or are they particularly fond of rye grass?
