Anyone ever mix cereal rye and barley to make hay/baleage in the early spring?

I use it often as grazing in the spring early summer, never tried to bale it, see no reason why it shouldn't be good quality baleage.
Most dairy farmers here plant a combination of vetch and a wheat/barley hybrid (called korog) to make very high proteien baleage in the spring.

Never tried the rye before. Have used barley as a nurse crop many times and it makes real good baleage. I know that rye will go from ready to cut to tree trunk stemmy in just a few days.
