Was out brush hogging all afternoon, into the evening. Got out to move some tree limbs in high grass. Realized an hour ago I'm broke out from head to toe. I usually am not terribly allergic to anything so this is kinda weird. Found some steroid cream. gonna take a slug of benadryl. Ugh. I was covered up but it got me thru my clothes, wow.

Common ragweed is very abundant this year. Last week one of my corgis' got eye allergies. He started itching on chairs, me, his paws, etc. Eyes got inflamed. Then he started chewing on his forelegs. I took him to the vet. They gave him an allergy shot and put him on steroids. Common ragweed is everywhere this year. It took over a couple of my fields until I rotary mowed it with a bushhog. The tractor was yellow with pollen.

I sprayed with Deep Woods Off (we have ticks and Lyme galore). We have some pretty noxious weeds. Probably some form of nettle. Hubby's arm swells up like a balloon when he barely brushes it. I'm usually not so reactive.
We got an EpiPen when we first moved here, but it's expired. Wish they hadn't jacked the price up; it's a good thing to have around. Also got stung by a hornet last week. Ahhhh, the joys of late summer.....
