Ever have one of those days? Boy did I have a doozey yesterday, it seemed like everything just went wrong.
It started with my daughters dental appointment at 8:30 am, didn't get started til 9:30. :? Had to sedate her to pull 2 baby teeth. Got that done and headed for the farm and ranch store, needed some new heat lamp bulbs. Luckily I had put her in the shopping cart, sitting in the bottom, she collapsed.   . Took her to the local ER and ended up sitting in there for over 3 hours. She had a mild reaction to the sedative. Scared the daylights out of me. She is fine now.
Finally got discharged and had to call my son's school to hold him there til I get there for him. Made a fast run through a drive thru for some food and had 2 more stops to make before I could get to the school. Finally made it just before 4pm.
Hoped everything will go smoothly now. Wishful thinking.
Picked up our finished beef at the butchers and as I was leaving my truck started making this weird sound. Now what? Took it to the local dealership, they have no idea what is wrong. Told me to not drive it. :cry2: How am I suppose to get home? Call your husband off of the tractor and get him to come in and get you. Now that was not an option. Could I get loaned a truck to get home? We don't loan out vehicles. Oh bull they do too, just to those who live in town. They told me that they did have a truck that they MIGHT loan me, but it had a flat tire. :devil2: I'm going home, Was told that I would wreck my truck if I drove it, well at that point too bad. Drove 50 mph home.
Husband got home and it turns out that this plug at the back of the engine near the manifold had gotten loose and had fallen out and that was what was making the noise.  Mechanic at the shop couldn't figure that out.
Thought I was home free, nope, message on my machine telling me that my chicks just arrived and come get them.
Just one of those days.

I think we all have those days at some point or another.

Sounds silly, but at the end of the day, you probably had a roof over your head, food on the table, and your family with you. Those are just the little stuff.

Hope today goes smoother for you.

ouch youd been better off to stay in bed an not started your day.an to make things worse you had 2 major things go wrong.how old is your daughter.its no fun getting baby teeth out that way.hope she is feeling alot better today.

The kids are okay. Everything else is just "stuff".

Hopefully everything will go your way today.

Let's try and look at the bright side...

- your daughter is safe and fine
- you all made it home safely
- hubby figured out the truck thing so no need to pay those folks anything
AND

...you now have new baby chicks under a new heat lamp (or baby turkeys that I picked up from the post office this morning).

She will be 7 tomorrow, just finishing up two different flavors of cupcakes for the kids to decorate themselves. I must be out of my mind. :)

Dun we have already had the worse; one week in NICU; brain damage; mild form of cerably palsey (sp?); years of therapy;. Yesterday was just a brief pause in the road we tred upon.
I'm not looking for sympathy, I just take the good with the bad and tell myself next year at this same time will be better.

DB I got both turkey and chicken chicks. Layers and eaters both. Only one had died in transit.

Got a good laugh tonight. I spent around 10 minutes looking for my glasses. I had taken them off in the bathroom and forgot them.

I lost them when I pushed them up on my head one day. Never have figured out how they manage to hide so well sometimes.

I've done both of these, and I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has done both of these!

I sometimes wonder what I did with all my spare time back before I wore glasses. Seems I spend a good portion of my day trying to find them.
