About 8yrs ago I went against my principles and stole a cat  .
You see, this woman thought that kittens were to be given to children to play with as they would a toy. Flush them in the toilet, shove them in the washing machine, drop them, throw them etc. Not once did I hear her guide or reprimand her children.
This boy had a ruptured stomach muscle and a fractured hip when I scooped him into my car. He was probably about a month old.
As you can see he has made an excellent recovery :P .

He's beautiful Alison, more so because you saved him from a life (short life most likely) of cruelty..

My little guy is healing well after his tangle with a fox or coyote. $400.00 vet bill later and thankfully no surgery, now if he would learn his lesson and stop asking for trouble I will feel much better..so will my pocket book

BTW giving a cat a foot bath in warm water with epsom salts and then icing it 3 times a day is not an easy task.. :help:

If anyone needs to know as well ,cats can be given Metacam/Meloxicam. That was the NSAID that we had Steff on when she was diagnosed for cancer and even though off label they do use it on cats as well ..

He looks very smug and pleased with himself, a sure sign of a happy healthy cat. Good on ya for rescuing him.

HD, hope the Kit Cat makes a good recovery. And forgive me for chuckling to myself at the mental picture of you trying to administer the treatments. Maybe you have a tranquilizer that will work on cats??

He thinks he has royal blood in him ;-) .

They all think they are Royalty. We accidently left the little Calico Queen outside last night. Boy did I get an earfull when I walked out the door this morning.

One of these days she is gonna be the first cat on the Moon.

Giving the Kit Kat his treatments was not that bad when he was really hurting bad ,but when it started to recover it was a tad challenging. He also lost 2 lbs in only a few days which is a lot for a 12 lb cat but the special "recovery" diet that the vet put him on he is gaining a little back.
I call him my little baby tiger, because that is what he thinks he is, I wish he would realize just how little he really is and stop getting in fights.

I don't know what it is about those darn cats ,but they sure have us wrapped around their little paws.. ;-)

Not me they don't. ;-) Tell ya one thing for sure though. I will make sure the little furball is inside tonight.

I would have NEVER guessed ol' 3Way :cboy: to be "P.W".....

hehehehehe

:P

:tiphat:

(I am SO going to pay for saying that!) :secret:  :help:

That would be correct!

Funny thing is she is sure enuf a man's cat. Won't let most women near her. Drives me nuts, but I have to admit she's definately my girl and follows me everywhere.

Go Figure. :cowboy:

I caught this stalking me - I was terrified   .

LAR-I was wondering if 3ways's cat is indeed a Calico and not perhaps a Tortoiseshell?? Perhaps you can persuade that soft 'Leo' side of his to post a pic of his girl :P .

C'mon Vic... lets see a pic of your leetle fren'!!

She probably sees a lot of the same traits in you as herself; independent, solitary....... ummmmmm... I think I better stop there before I dig myself a MUCH deeper grave!! :o :P

seriously, a pic would be great!! :tiphat:
