No, Rosie wasn't rideable, That was her sister Tizia

Painful as it was to put her down you did the right thing, we did the same with our cow "Mother Mary" she earned her right to die on the farm & we were happy to let her. Its always sad to say goodbye

I think if you want to sell your old cows rather than bury them, you should do it while they're healthy enough to make the trip. I gained more by keeping her 2 years and getting 2 nice calves from her than the couple bucks I'd get at the sale barn for selling her
