RFV

[Caustic Burno]

Been thinking there is a lot of money to made. Get a film crew and go around to members and film them working cows.
Could market this on RFD TV. With some of these post on here it would have to be hilarious to see some of these operations.
We could have prizes like AFV just haven't come up with good names for the Grand prize through third place.
Suggestions welcome.

You could also have some special segments much like David Letterman show......"Will this Cow Float" were you could test to see which breed floats the best, (but I am sure it will be Angus they are best at everything ;-) )

Maybe a special show on proper grooming and cosmetic application on your favorite Heifer

Both have there merits will even let you ride your mule with that fancy tie down rig since you can carry now.
But will give out prizes for the best laugh still working on the prizes maybe a set of pink chaps and hat for the funniest.

I was afraid his strong 12 year old personality would eventually come out on something he read. I did advise him not to take anything Caustic said to heart, as in don't be offended. I never have been offended and you are right, if you are fat, you are fat, don't get offended. He is quite the kid and has some opinions of his own....I didn't mean he shouldn't listen to his words of wisdom....he is a very intelligent kid and hey....as long as he is conversing with you guys/gals on here, I am happy. I can't wait to see what he says when he reads Caustic's last post.

Uhhh, he posted this on "Everything Else" not the beginners board......and it was meant as humerous......Heck look at Cowboy U......it's humerous as all git out.
And I dont think he really meant it as makin fun of folks....just that we all have wrecks while workin cows. Maybe not this time, but it will happen. Kinda like ridin a bull, it ain't a matter of IF you get hurt it's WHEN.
Hopefully no one has any serious wrecks....but speakin from experience, when we do have a wreck.....after the dust settles...it gits funny.

I guess I can just choose not to read his posts, no matter where he posts them. They all seem to run together with the same theme. After researching and reading several (too many) of Burno posts, it sounds to me like he only wants to make people feel bad and has lots of time on his hands to be mean. I have plenty of people to learn from about cows, but you Mr. Burno, are teaching me something also.....I will say a prayer for you that you might have a happier life and not worry so much about others cows health....heck, that leaves more of a market for your cows to be sold if everyone elses cows die from being neglected. :frowns: :?

Sorry, I just got tired of reading messages directed at people who are learning and trying to find information on a Cattle Question & Answer board. My mom warned me not to take anything you say to heart if I post something, but man....

Newcowboy.....the truth is the truth and sometimes the truth is funny. There is some humor in thinking about people floating cows, petting animals that soon will be eating, Breaking them to lead and giving them hair cuts. Having to go to the feed store to ask what they eat. I do some of these things but I also see the funniness in them.

And if your mom warned you not to take anything Caustic says to heart then you are missing out on some good advice. Maybe you should not get offended by any of it, but listen and get the point of what he says and you might learn something.

There is a handful of experienced people on here that we should all listen to when they speak and Caustic is for sure one of them! I look at it like this if a man calls you fat you can either get offended and mad or you might look in the mirror and see if you need to loose some weight, does not matter how you get the information as long as you get it and learn from it.

I'd watch it. I'd get some chuckles too.

I wouldn't enjoy pink chap segments. A real Vanna would make it better. Mrs. Caustic would likely give us some laughs if she could tell some stories on the ole dog.

Excellent show idea....
I'm still wondering about the different materials that have been used fo make fences and gates...think that I'll bring it up on another post.
Oh yeah...the mind of a 12 year old contains alot more than we want to realize...mine sure surprized me when I had them that young.

Not sure what all the content would be on the show, but I figured out a good ending of every episode. Kind of like the Looney tunes, saying that's all folks. We could have Caustic picking the gun of choice, aiming it at an animal, then as the camera fades away, we hear a gun shot and the commentator saying that's all folks.

Hey, Caustic, this has some great possibilities! Don't know what an AFV is but here are some other prize suggestions:
A guided tour of your ranch
A night out hog hunting in The Big Thicket, with you of course
A visit to a local salebarn, with you as mentor

Heck, I'd enter a video in the contest for a chance at one of these!
