Some people are just never satisfied . . . . . .!

So, as previously posted, we have new Powder River sweep tub and alleys here. http://www.powderriver.com/files/Assembly_Instructions/PRLX7 Assembly Ins.pdf The panels are open, not blind. Step-son might be willing to do the modification to blind.

I'd like to run the sheet metal up to at least 4 ft. high. ? More ? And what gauge would you recommend for that?

Thx!

A friend of mine hung that fabric they use in pulp mills on the outside of his tub and alley. It looks like canvas but it has fine metal mesh woven into it. It last pretty well. I know people over here use it on docks to keep them from getting too slick to walk on. It is worn out for the pulp mills purpose and is free or darn cheap. It is easy to install, it makes the tub blind, and yet allows for toe holds should climbing suddenly seem like a good idea.

Paper mill felt works well . Sheet metal is as high as a giraffes rear right now . I'd probably go with the treated ply wood you can use square u bolt fasteners to bolt the ply wood to the panels .

"Felt." The paper mill stuff . . . Is that what they call it?

I had the same issue and used 3/8 marine grade plywood. Would rather have sheet metal but this is working ok.

Might check out the price difference between scrap sheet metal and marine plywood. I just re-decked the inside of my boat and 3/4" marine plywood cost me $160.00 per sheet. 3/8" would be a little cheaper.

I'm in a delima now as to what to use that I can afford.

what about used rubber belting...like from conveyors..easy to my and flexible....call yuer scrap dlr and see whats avail..or a local surplus place and decide based on what you can get cheap enuff
