High level sources have informed Yellowhammer News that Remington, one of the world’s largest gun manufacturers, will on Monday join Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley in announcing that they are bringing over 2,000 jobs to Alabama.

The company is viewing the move into Alabama as an expansion, but it will likely impact their Ilion, NY plant as well. The New York facility currently employees around 1,200 people. It is expected to stay open, but with a reduced workforce.

Not gun related, but Occidental Petroleum (nation's 4th largest oil co) just announced they are moving from their decades old home of Los Angelos Calif to Houston Texas.

Low taxes helps to attract companies, which creates jobs, which creates more tax revenue.
High taxes helps encourage companies to move, which causes jobs to be lost, which reduces tax revenue.

As dumb as I am, I understand that. Why is it so hard for some politicians?

This movement just might be the second coming we all have been praying for.
By that I mean, companies moving from high tax areas just might be what it takes for liberal minded voters to understand “ tax and spend “ politics is not the answer.

The only thing I worry about is that these northern companies move down and bring some of their northern employees and suppliers with them who in turn bring their liberal way of thinking and they try to turn the conservative south into the state that they just left. Sort of like the illegal aliens want to turn the US into the very corrupt Mexico that the fled. Other than that I hope they hire mostly local folks.

That's exactly what's happened to Florida. Recent election results show it to be true

I wonder if they (Remington) will bring their current level of quality control with them. I especially like their ability to cut a chamber about 5 degrees out of line with the bore.

BTW from what i hear Atlanta is already gone Liberal just like almost every other major city in America Texas not withstanding.

I think -
Liberal = Urban
Conservative = Rural

I know there are exceptions, but as a rule it seems to run like that...

There are only one of two ways this Liberal control will/can end.
1. another civil war.
2. Conservatives will have to force their state legislators to split their states electoral votes.
That is what the electoral vote was supposed to do, so all the people have a voice in government.
We were never meant to be a majority rules federal government.
We need to get back to everyone votes and the state proportions the electoral votes out according to the will of the peoples.
If the state legislatures do not proportion out the electoral votes according to the people's will, they can easily be replaced at the state level and replaced with those who will.
A word to the wise: Never let anyone attempt to abolish the electoral votes, no matter how useless they say they are.

Look how Virginny voted last time

Governor is Blue.
Senate is Blue.
3 out of 11 Representatives are Blue. This is where rural can maintain a presence. And,, it is why there is such a battle between the House and the Senate and President.

Right, since at least the last 50 years. The rest of the state of Georgia is not.

Governor is Red.
Senate is Red.
9 out of 14 Representatives are Red.

Exactly, HD. The biggest cities in Georgia- Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Savannah, Macon, Athens, and Valdosta. That's the blue on the map. Democrat heavy.

California has had initiatives on the ballot a few times to split the state in two but it always fails because SF and SJ would be in one half and LA would be in the other so there's no real point as we'd be right back in the same boat.
This time around someone actually understands who lives where and wants to break CA down into six states.
I think it may fly here but getting it done will depend on who is in power in DC as neither national party will support a split if it adds more senators from the opposing party.

Before we left there there was a move afoot to split it down the crest of the Seirra, problem is there is no significant tax base on the east side
