Just looking through some pictures from not too long ago (late spring/early summer) when we had some grass, and even some parts of the place where green. Thought I'd share.

Those are some pointy Horns, Do you ever get scratched by over friendly cows?? I had a couple young heifers but their horns were not that long or pointy. :cboy:

Ryan,
She's a nice cow, that's the type of Longhorn that I like. Looks like a good combination of body and horn.

I like her pretty good too. She's got a really nice profile, especially for her age. I love those "goal post" horns.

Nice Longhorns. A few more pics like that and you might even be partway to converting me!!

What happened to the bulls horns?

 ... Nothing happend to them. They arent real long. Needless to say, he was selected for other traits besides horns. They still have plenty of time to grow, too... he was just over 2 years old in the picture.

Good photos Ryan. Who is the cow in the fourth photo? What's her breeding? She has some horn.

I like that cow also, body, horn, and color.

Ryan, I believe I saw you at the West Sale last weekend. I remember Larry asking you some questions when they were running your cattle through the ring. I meant to stop by and introduce myself, but by the time I headed out of the stands you were gone.

I was there. and that was me. I stayed as long as I could, but I had to get back and feed and everything here at the ranch.

What'd you think of the sale?

I thought the prices were about average for the West sale. I figured there would be more cattle than usual and it might be a buyers market due to the drought.

We ended up buying 2 heifers and a bred cow.

If you're back at West in October, I'll try and give you a shout.

THats bout what i thought too. Do you make it to many other sales or shows?

We haven't gotten into the show scene, but we do make some of the other sales: Clifton (ITLA), Bastrop, Ft. Worth, and the Red McCombs sales down around Austin.

I usually make it to all the West sales, since it is only about 25 miles from the ranch.
