GB. got me thinking, I sure miss the old TV shows. Back in the day when animals ruled the TV screens. Believe it or not I swam with Flipper, and held his fin and got towed around by him. I always wanted to ride Trigger, now that was a horse. And Mr. Ed sure would of fit in great over at Inyati's place.

My son has discovered the Dukes of Hazard. It didn't seem stupid when I was a kid.
It's not! It's got to be one of the best 5 shows ever on TV. You just have to overlook some of the parts that don't make sense .

Let's take a trip............

The most I ever watched TV was in late 89' early 90'. For 6 months me and a buddy were working in Waco TX. We worked graveyard. We got back to the apartment about 5am. We taped tin foil in the windows so we could sleep in the day time. We ate frozen burritos, vienna sausages, pickled chicken eggs, drank beer, and watched reruns of Bat Matterson and The Rifleman every early morning the entire time we were down there. I don't remember any commercials. Our coworkers told us they didn't much care to work near us.

"The Andy Griffith Show" is still the best thing to ever be on TV.

Even my hip, 15 year old daughter agrees with that!

What happened to all the variety on network tv? I wouldn't give a plug nickle for any of the sit-coms on today. Has our culture really changed that much? Whatever happened to the shows like The Dukes of Hazzard, Happy Days, and all the light hearted sit-coms? Compare the tone of the police shows of the past with the ones today. Sure, they were all a bit cheesy, but very relaxing and entertaining; they were an escape. Is our society just too sophisticated for new programs like that today?
