The crazy cow, and all the calves are already closed up in a 10 acre field. Shouldn't be a big deal to push them to the pen now and sort em out. Still using some riders until the crazy one is loaded There may be one or 2 calves not caught up, but what a relief. Going tomorrow morning to pen them and haul them out.

Well she escaped out of the catch pen but we were able to get every calf and The cull cows that need to go caught up and we're on the road now. Finally what a relief that was. Will just deal with the crazy Cowl next time.

By her self she will be even harder to catch I bet. But at least now you wont be in any hurry.

Some strategically placed round bales and a dart gun will solve that issue

That sounds like a good plan. I bet that would work out perfectly.

Glad to hear you've got the rest and headed out. I bet that is a big relief. :D

I have found over the years that if they get out of the pen once, they are darn hard to hold. I always make a little extra effort with the high-headed ones so they are handled one time. The good thing is you can put your effort to her, without the calves messing up your plans. :cowboy:
