For those who raise Hereford cattle on here, what are your thoughts on KJ HVH Redeem.? Have seen some nice calves out of him, just looking for some other opinions. We are getting ready to buy bulk semen and I am considering adding a few straws of him. Thoughts appreciated.
 
Seems like his progeny sells well on sales from what I have seen in person. The few that I have seen out of him have looked good and he has very high accuracies in his EPDs with his main traits 85% or better. Even has 500+ progeny reported for carcass scan data too which all those traits were better than average.

What other Hereford bulls are you looking at? Hyalite On Target 936 is probably making the biggest mark on herd right now than any bull we have ever used. Have a couple of daughters sired by him that weaned the top calf in their first year. Our current herd sire is sired by 936 and his calves have been just as good if not better than our AI sired calves. Really excited to see his first females calve later this month. We really like their phenotype and they dropped nice udders already.
 
Logic is a bull I wished we used more back when we were using him AI. Got a couple really productive daughters out of him. Have a lot of 4R in our herd right now, they've probably been some of the most productive cows we've bred. Semen on him is starting to jump up in price I've seen now that he's dead and the inventory on him is shrinking. We just used our last straw of him last summer actually but we've got quite a bit of semen left on a bull we bred that is a 4R son out of one of those Logic cows and I almost like the calves we have had out of him more than the 4R ones. Hometown is a line I'd like to see us eventually add as I've seen a lot of good cattle sired by him lately.

Have our first calves sired by FTF Prime Product due in about 10 days so we're interested in seeing how those calves turn out.
 
Logic is a bull my grandfather picked out as he describes as a "real beef bull". I figured I would jump on the 4R before it became unavailable. Let me know how those Prime Product calves turn out.
