I got invited on a hunt in Central Texas and was able to take a cow.
I wasn’t going to shoot it but my brothers text me that they wanted the meat, they were on the hunt also.
I picked one out that I thought was about a year old.

I was so high up , I don’t think they heard the shot real good, there were some whitetail does over to the right that didn’t run off either?

Very cool. Always fun to go on stuff like that, especially with your brothers.

I have shot pigs from between deer and they didn't even run. They barely looked up.

Guy I know raises them sells hunts and makes good money on venison as well.
He has his own slaughter facility and butcher shop.
