Red Bluff Bull Sale-Random Pics

Just sharing some random pictures from the bull sale this week.
(I was too busy to get any of the dogs working. Though the high seller went for $13,000. Dogs averaged $5,218.75)

The bull sale average has not been posted yet. But I am thinking it will be between $6,000-$7,000. The individual prices (for the sellers) were phenomenal! I do not think we have seen these prices at RB for many years. I think that we were down about a 100 bulls from last year. Prices were not great last year, so many breeders sold our bulls elsewhere or private treaty early on. (I kind of regret it now.)

Res. Champion AOB $6,500.

Oh wait a minute, maybe I was just taking a pic of the cowboy in the black hat! :lol:

This was the Champion Polled Herf. But I think the biggest selling feature was the handler.
Folks little girls can sell bulls!! $10,000 (She was too small to get in the pic with that bull on her right. I am guessing that she was about 8 yrs old.)

The results are posted 238 bulls averaged $6594. I looked because I have some friends who had horses on the sale. Some did pretty good. One hit a home run.

My guesses were pretty close then!
Seems that prices were great on everything. Dogs, bulls and horses. Wonder how it will be for next year........I have a half brother to my friends Angus bulls that brought $6700 and $6500. Still debating whether to hold him for the sale or not. :? I had my mind set on banding him, now I might wait and see what he weans like.
