My herd bull is a Rambler 5162 x Excel-a-tor cow (Topper 5241's mother). Nyack and Rambler 1000 had been popular, has anyone used this line, and do they like the cattle?
If the Nyack you're referring to is Glacier Nyack 688 he does wonders for udders. Good muscle and relatively moderate in height, but wide with a lot of capacity.
Rambler 5162 produces excellent females. Goes back to FCC rambo 502.
5162 semen is worth a mint. I believe a tidy bee cow that was a 5162 daughter was the high selling female at the Boot Jack dispersal. Excel-a-tor is sired by Sayre Patriot I think.
Sounds like calving ease with lots of maternal!
