I have a full-blood (supposedly registered) Red Angus bull. He has a tag in his ear with a number and "Red Angus" printed on it. Does anyone with registered Red Angus that might know more about what the tag number might mean? Thanks.

what is the number? it could be his registration number, his sire's stud code number, or numerous other possibilities. did you ask the previous owner what they mean?

If the bull is registered, ask the previous owner for the bulls registration #. Then you can go onto the Red Angus site and plug in the # and see all the data on the Bull. Most registered bull sellers will transfer the paperwork to you after the sell even if you don't plan on keeping it registered.
