REALLY OLD GUN!

This is a pic of an old gun my father in law received in a trade along with some other stuff. It is really old looks like, but we have no idea what it is, or how old, or what it is worth? Any input or help would be appriciated, thanks, Will.

Lookin for info on this gun, make model, age, value, whatever, thanks.

On the gun it says...T C BELOW THAT "AS FA"
BELOW THAT "ANK ARA"
BELOW THAT "1943"

BELOW THE "T C" AND ABOVE "1943" AND BETWEEN "AS FA" AND "ANK ARA" THERE IS A CRESENT MOON WITH CURVE SIDE DOWN POINTS UP, AND A STAR ABOVE THAT.

I have an old mauser that looks similar, i've seen ones like it go for 150 bucks? I'm not sure what yours is, let us know when you find out.

The only thing I can figure is that 1943 is prob the year made, and that is what I thought, = Mauser

It sounds like it is a mauser made in Ankara, Turkey. You can do a web search and found out more.

It is a Turkish 8MM Mauser.
