dun, have you used any of that Foster's West River semen yet? What breeding is the white-faced girl in the other thread? Hereford or possibly Autobohn? Like those babies. We had two heifers that didn't stick on their first two heats. One finally calved yesterday, a little heifer, 67 lbs, with about 50 lbs of leg! The other one is bagging up a little but doesn't look to me like she'll drop for another two or three weeks.

I know it's just the way the picture makes it seem, but it looks like that mamma's head is almost as big as the whole calf.

Seeing how good the grass looks in your picture raises a side question. Did you have about the same amount of grass this time last year (before the drought) as you do now?

Couldn;t see the calf in the grass but the heifers in the same pasture all made a bee-line so I knew there had to be a claf. I knew she was in labor for a few minutes beforehand

The second heifer in the other thread is by West River.
The baldy is out of an F1 daughter of Granny and KCF Bennett E153, the heifers sire is Glacier Nyack 688
