re: breeding question

hello everyone,
has anyone outhere put in a bull with a cow that just calved and had that cow bred wether it was 30 days or 90 days after. I just don't have another place for the bull and therefore they must be in the same pen.

Yes. Like the other thread regarding the Bull running with the herd year round, he'll try to breed her when she cycles. That's his purpose. Often the cow doesn't take on that first heat after calving. When we ran the Bull year round some would calf again within 10 months time.
