Anyone use a heavier really tough belt? 1.50" wide with 3/4" front Ranger style. I wear suspenders also so i wear a cheap one out fairly quick. Recommendations? Good ones i find online are over $100.

A friend of mine who was a saddle maker and silver smith along with a team roping partner made this one for me. I out grew the belt and just got a
one online. I don't remember where I got it. But it was only about $40 seven years ago.

i am cheap so this may not be what you want. got belt in the size you mentioned at ebay "beltstore". less than $30, supply your own buckle. i wear one daily and is durable. i never worry about appearance, but if i did my shirt is out anyway.

This one is only 1.75" wide.

That's a great idea... Who'da thunk it?

I just watched Big Jake, John Wayne wears both a belt and suspenders and the reason it caught my attention is. Henry Fonda in one of my favorite movies, Once Upon A Time In The West, shot a man after the belt suspenders remark. I don't think Henry would mess with Big Jake.

I never cared much about what John Wayne's writers wrote. I never used to wear suspenders, then I quit smoking last fall and have eaten up half the food in this county and added 40lbs to my weight (from 205 to 245 lbs) in less than 6 months. My shape has shifted and now a belt just don't do right....

I wore suspenders at work for 20 years. PNW loggers all wear pants about 2 sizes too big. More freedom of movement and if you ever get hung up on something and need to move it is a lot easier to get out of the pants. But in all those years I never wore the suspenders anywhere other than to work.
