Momma, a TJ Frosty/ Beacon daughter. Calf hasn’t sucked the front two, but found the back. She’s a backwards little heifer!

At least 12-13,came from a retiring neighbor when she was around 4 has a really nice heifer calf, gues who’s staying on the farm?Young home raised cow, commercial Red Angus/simmental. Sire of the calf is a purebred Black Angus, Wye blood both sides. I’m assuming he has to be a red carrier.

Calf will probably turn out black but will always have a reddish tint ?

Probably so. I’m planning to keep her back too. I’ve culled down the last few years, I need to start building back up. A bull issue kept me from doing so last year, registered angus bull developed a claw foot around age 4. Too bad, he threw nice calves but I can’t put up with that.
