It's been very dry up here, about 1 " total in the last month. Hay crop is about 1/3 of normal. I cut the first 20 acres on Wed. Hay is getting rained on, but I love it. :D

I hope the rain keeps up and heads east! We are almost 3" behind normal right now, we got 1st off without a hitch, but the fields are just brown! Need the rain, or kiss the fields good-bye!

I hope we can get rained out, rained on, or rain of any kind this weekend. They're calling for 40% chances this weekend, so we'll see.

We had a 40% chance of rain, and it's still coming down. I just checked the radar, looks like the only significant rain in this region is on a couple of counties in NC MN. I hope you get your rain soon. 8)

TXBobcat.. we just looked at the Doppler, it looks like it's headed this way!

I'm fixin' to go out and do a rain dance! Hmmmm .. that might scare it away..

Yep...send the rain east! We're drying up in western Wisconsin too! Chance for today, but so far it's humid and high 80's...with sun!

Update, we had 1.5" at my house today. BUT my ranch/crops are about 8 miles as the crow flies to the SouthEast. Guess what! 3/8" where we need it. Oh well one of those better then nothing rains.

Sounds like lots of dry conditions out there?

Up here folks are complaining about the rain...seasonally we are dry mid July through late Sept. so we'll see how the season ends. Last year we lost alot of hay in the spring, seems like when it was cut and a day from bailing it would rain for two days. We don't hay but our supplier was giving deals on hot stacks. Have had record rainfall so far this month but looks dry for next week. DMc

Way back when, a rain dance accompained by some drumming would work. But not anymore. Too much interference from kids running up and down the roads with those loud speakers making that racket they call music. I think that has gotten the weather all out of kilter. Probably the reason for global warming too.

You're all welcome to come get some here. If it keeps it up all night, like it's doing now, will be over 8 ins. in last 10 days. States motto is, "Land of 10,000 lakes." It'll be 22,126 by tomorrow.

As long as it doesn't become the land of 1 BIG lake you may be alright.

3/10's yesterday; still too early to go out to check if we got anything last night. I'll take it, but 3" wouldn't bother me.

Hay cut wednesday. Raked late this evening (don't know where the hay guy was yesterday). Started raining roughly an hour after it was raked and the hay guy left. We've got roughly 20 - 25 acres that we cut for hay. All that got cut and raked is now getting rained on... and I honestly dont really care. I actually love it, too. If it took us cutting hay to make it rain then so be it.

We had one heck of a storm last night. It downpoured for about an hour or two. We need a few more nights of rain. We have been dealing with the drought also. I hope everyone gets some much needed rain!!!
