Had a couple awesome ranch tours this week with Creekstone Farms Premium Beef. The International Sales Rep brought out a group of distributors from Europe and the East Coast Rep had a group of chefs and distributors from the US and Canada. We got drenched the first day (totally worth it!) but still had a great time. The tarantula wasn't supposed to be part of the tour but it's mating season again, so . . . . Promoting the beef industry with humane treatment and facilities!

Who was the poor soul that the tarantula drug away? If a spider can carry anything bigger than rat, im out...🤣🤣🤣

Nice cattle as always and love how you make time for the farm tours!
One of the Creekstone Reps. His customers are buyers for Boar's Head (based in Michigan). We met at the house and the dang tarantula was heading towards the garage because there was a female in there by the fridge. Evidently, the tarantula doesn't discriminate and took a detour;). What a way to kick off a tour!:ROFLMAO:

Your cattle are phenomenal.... but I hope that all those people know that not everyone's cattle are that friendly... especially the big bulls....
You give cattle farmers the best presentation and positive spin......
And OMG, I would have probably had a minor heart attack with that tarantula on my jeans...

Thank you! And yes, I make it clear my cattle are probably more the exception than the norm as far as not just getting up close & personal, but with complete strangers. Don't try this at home, kids!

I would still be running and crying. Don't like spiders!!!
Got bit by a brown recluse as a kid and that was bad!

I used to have a pet tarantula in college, why? I have no idea. It was very fast.
Why? Because you were in college. No other explanation necessary! ;) Friend of mine had a pet boa constrictor in college named Phyllis (posted a pic of her wrapped around me a while back).

When I was in the National Guard our unit went to Fort Huachuca for our two week summer camp. The company commander had a tarantula top of his tent one morning. They removed him and the next morning he was back. I think that happened for several nights. The company commander didn't like that spider much.
