Rain - Finally!

We finally got a decent rain - 4 1/4 inches in 4 hours on Tuesday. It made a mess, but I am so glad to get it.

They say we should get some more this weekend.

Wow, what a difference. We only got 7/8 of an inch - but I'm not complaining.

We only got a sprinkle, literally. Didn't even register in the rain gauge.

Yeah, we were surprised. The radars only showed 2 inches.

That brings our rainfall since Jan 1 to 18 inches. We average 35-38. I'd be happy if we finish up the year with 25 inches.

It washed all of the dead stuff out and now new grass is popping up. We need more rain to get to a grazable forage. I'm glad I didn't spread clover seed before this one. It would all be in the creek. Hopefully I can get my clover out and the next rain will be "just right". :cboy:
