WOW... we finally are getting some rain.... real honest to goodness wet drops of liquid precipitation... Got .4 overnight Wed evening... and now, last night into today, we have had a fairly steady light SOAKING rain... It is still coming down but lighter than earlier, so haven't looked in the rain gauge... but it was .3 at 8 this morning and it has rained quite steady all morning... This won't bring the growth that we would have seen if it had rained like this a month ago; but it ought to perk up some of the late season grasses. Temps are to stay in the 70's all week, nights in the upper 50's to low 60's so the cool season grasses might come back some.
Thank you mother nature....

We have had 2 inches in the last 3 days. I think that is just about all the rain we have received in the last 6 weeks.

Had this nice rainbow late this afternoon. Centered over our house. Actually, a double rainbow you can see in the last picture. That means 4 pots of gold must be pretty close by. With the price of gold now, that would be a lot of money. Got dark before I could find the end. Wonder how many pounds are in a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow?

We've had 14-18 inches of rain in the last 6 weeks. Ground is saturated and squishy and won't dry up until it starts freezing, which doesn't look to happen anytime soon unfortunately. O well I've learned to never cuss the rain.
