Rae Carruth former NFL wr will be released from prison Oct 22nd after serving 17 yrs of his 18-24 yrs sentence for
hiring a friend to murder his pregnant girlfriend Cherica Adams.
Carruth was already paying $2,700 month in child support to an ex-girl friend and was angry with Adams for refusing to
have an abortion.

Adams was able to call 911 from her cell phone and report that Carruth had stopped his car in front of hers and a 2nd
vehicle pulled up along side of her car and she had been shot 4 times from the passenger side of the 2nd car.
She died and the baby taken by C-section lived, but was born severely brain damaged from oxygen deprivation.

I remember it well as it sure does not seem like 17 years ago, but I bet to him it does. He should have gotten the juice. Maybe him and OJ can get together.

I imagine that it's been a pretty long 17 years. Usually celebrities are segregated to either solitary or with the snitches and child molesters. It's interesting to me that in cases like this you'll see someone get the death penalty or a sentence like this. Makes no sense.

Actually November 16 will be the 19th anniversary of the shooting.
Money helps a lot. He was able to post 3 million bail and hire top notch attorneys to defend himself.
IMO instead of being released he should be transferred to death row.
