quick weaning question

Boogers being fenceline weaned. Can I turn him back out on the main pasture at 6 weeks? I know 8 is better, but the cow is dried off. If he does try to suck again, do I just need to finish out the 8 weeks or start over? Keeping them seperate would be difficult since I have to haul water to that side of the pasture where he is. Thx

If he caught it the first time he tried you should be able to get by with just another couple of weeks. If he does it for a while before you catch him at it you would need to start over to be sure.

That's about what I figured. Me or my wife is always around so we could keep a close eye on him and seperate them if needed. Thanks again

Well so far so good. Turned him back out about 2 hrs ago and not even a hint he wants to suck. Hed rather head butt her playing or eat grass. Thanks everyone for the advice. Love it when plans come together, start to finish
