i can buy some good stuff at 25/roll. fertilized weed free hermathia grass.
think i oughtta buy 14 rolls..all i can haul...and keep em til next winter or in case i need em this summer?

theyll keep okay i reckon...

some hay round here this good going for 50/roll.

buy it and sell in the hard times for a profit??

gotta git it today..he sold 1100 rolls in less than 2 weeks

Not familiar with that grass but around here a bale of cotton stalks would cost you more than that so I'd jump all over it.

Someone doesn't know his production cost .. Sounds like this should be on the blind hog finds a accorn thread lol .

That wouldn't barely cover the fertilizer cost let alone anything else. This guy won't be baling long.
At today's fertilizer prices it would cost 112 dollars an acre to put out 300 pound's per acre.
If he got six rolls to the acre his cost is 19 dollars a bale on fertilizer.

Then his idea of fertilize is pulling a buggy by the pasture.

man thats some cheap hay.id buy some more at that price if you can an your cows will eat it.if we have extra hay we sell it for $35 a bale.but dont think we will be selling any hay this year at all.if we do it wont be cheap.

I usually don't sell hay . But when I do it's during January when there is less hay avalible and I know exactly what I have in it . I set my price and if no one wants it I save it until the next year and feed it .

he sold 1100 rolls of fertilized hermathia 5x5 rolls for 25 ea in 10 days. i got 14 rolls last nite and didnt have time to unload em but he only had about 20 left and said he thought they were spoken for. he sells alotta hay round here...thousands of rolls im sure. usually good stuff. i had told a few people local about it and i couldnt haul enough...they were offering me 10 more than i paid for it while i was bringing it home. promised off 6..probly sell only 4 tho. shouldve squeezed 4 more rolls on top..i did 10 on the btm and 4 on top down the middle...shouldve got the 4 more
god looking hay and got it in the barn before it got wet

Yesterday evening after work I just started cutting a patch that was previously coastal (it died last summer) it is native grass, rescue grass, and rye grass, its not fertilized and it has some weeds in it, but it beats the he77 out of 150 dollar a bale bar ditch baling with beer cans and baby diapers in it, that some yank promised was great quality and sent down to Texas.

Got me curious on this hay, so I read a few articles on this type of grass, First of all, after its established it doesnt need fetilizer. Most of the aticles said it only made fair quality hay at best, but it sounds like one heck of a grass to have around for grazing.

In my neck of the woods in KY, $25 a roll is the going rate. The only time it gets higher is if there is a drought and there is a shortage.

if we sell any hay this year itll be $50 a bale.but we are going to get all the hay we need if any extra is sold.

I just bought a load at 42.50/ roll delivered. 4x6 tight rolls of
Bahia hay. Pretty good price for what I'm Seeing hay go for around here.

$25 to %0 in my part of the state with most $25-30. Just spoke for some yesterday for $25 with only a 2 mile haul, not sure if I will need it but as dry as the year is starting I would rather have it than not, only 12 or so rolls.
