quad questions

That is pretty low miles on that thing. I put over 500 miles on my 2024 Polaris ATV last year, and that was mostly on the farm. I paid around $6900 with taxes.

My Honda Rancher cost $7,000 new in 2021. When everyone here gets together for some chore on quads it is Honda Ranchers except one Honda Foreman used by a fairly large man. Claims they have a little more ground clearance than a rancher which comes in handy for jumping it into the back of a stock trailer. I went and looked I put on 1,712 miles per year average over the 4 years I have had this one. That is all on my place. Seems like I am on it every day. People come here wanting to ride up in the hills for fun. I tell them to have fun. I don't need to ride it for fun.

New MSRP is $9k, actual price would be closer to $11k after taxes and extra fees they add on. $6k is a pretty good price, especially with such little use. Being a dealer, they'll add tax as well, but not the fees that new ones get. Probably low $7k after all said and done.

Taxes on a farm atv? I usually walk out under msrp on items, not over.

Guess it depends on the state. I don’t know which states do and don’t charge tax on farm supplies. I don’t know what the market is like these days either. I know a few years ago when I was looking, there was absolutely no dealing with them at all. New bikes were still hard to come by, so you paid the asking price or you went home empty handed.

Ohio does not charge taxes on atvs for farm. you have to make sure you tell them its for farm use and you're tax exempt.

i'd stay away from the shifty honda and pick up a brand new can am outlander for around the same price. it'll walk all over that honda.
