Put your best Herd Bull on the board!

Here is a picture of Bar B Q in his work clothes.

This picture of him shows how really big he is. He is 1800 lbs. making him one of the biggest Roundup sons in the world.

Bar B Q has 88" total horn, 68" tip to tip and has a 16" horn base. When he was young he tipped 5" off his right horn and a year ago he tipped off 2 more inches off the same horn in a vets office. He is the 02, 03, 04 Horn Showcase champion in the total horn class.

If you have the November '06 Texas Longhorn Trails magazine look on page 66 the heifer to the far left is one of his great daughters with over 57.5" ttt at 25 months.

Looks like I DID IT!! :D

Phantom is an Overwhelmer son. Windwalker is 27/32 Butler and son of Windwalker FM50. Spock is a blue roan and is son of Roundup's Purple Sage. Texan is a son of Roundup.

Running Arrow Bill, I really like your bull, Roundup's Texan :!:

Thanks!

He's 2.5 yrs old in this photo and had 55" TTT at the 2006 TLBAA Horn Showcase. He's "still a baby" and seems to be sporting good lateral horn potential. Believe he is considered to be a red roan. Texan is a Ken Kirkham bred bull (Roundup X Slam Dunk). Got him after he was weaned. He's bred several of our 1st calf heifers this year. We hope to replace him with a "better" Roundup bull in 2007, since 4 herd sires at RAF is stretching our resources...lol.

On a sidebar: Windwalker had 52.5" TTT and 75.7" Total on his last measurement; Phantom had 54.5" TTT and 64" Total; Spock had 53" TTT and 65" Total. WW and Phantom are about 8 yrs old and Spock is 3 yrs old. Phantom is about 1850# with 58" Hip Ht; (WW is about 1650# with 57" Hip Ht. Weight not too shabby for a Butler bull...lol.) Spock won 2nd place in his class at the 2005 TLBAA Horn Showcase.

We've had 6 terrific calf crops out of this bull:

We are looking forward to next spring's calves out
of this bull:

Are all these bulls owned?...or are some AI sires that you use in your herds?

la - Nice bull, nothing shallow about him. At first glance I thought he was a black bear with hooves.

Did you ever get any updated pictures of him la4angus?
No Copeman, this is the last pic that I have of him. I'm still trying to get some new pics of him, but the partner that's housing him in Colorado hasn't had any taken recently.
