~pull up a chair... and come on in~

Doing good owned by, finally stopped raining. Neighbor kid and I were board so 3 cows, 1 donkey and a 30 year old horse got brushed up. Funny how they all adjust so your brushing the right spot.

How about those Cowboys!

Muzzleloader/handgun season started here Saturday, I've set in the woods before daylight till dark the last 2 days in some of my good spots and ain't seen a deer. I think they need to cut back on doe tags for a year or 2.

Went Christmas shopping today at Bass Pro shops. Bought a set of binoculars as a gift. My mouth fell open when I saw the $2500 ones!
That's funny, we were at bass pro a week ago getting some and I felt the same way about the 3600$ ones they had.

I went to The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl yesterday. Wife and I made it through the first half. It was as cold and miserable as it looked on TV. Very glad to have gone as I've never been to a bowl before. We'll go next year but sit under the covered part.

So how is everyone?
Spent!
Over the last couple of months I have broke the bank on vet bills. ( "When it rains, it pours!")
First it was the embryo collection, then all of the lab work on the cow with the Selenium deficiency. After I got the cattle all set, I have had 2 of my dogs get sick with differing problems requiring more lab work, X-rays ect.. (My dogs are family, so they do not go without.)

Anyway, I am ready for the holidays to be over and everyone to be well. :(
Guess that I feel like a bit of a scrooge. But as soon as I get around my grand kids I feel better because they are so full of Christmas joy!

What do you powder coat and why?[/quote]

I powder coat the bullet instead of lubing so I can push it as fast as a jacketed bullet without leading the barrel. I also use a gas cap on my rifles and magnum handguns. The baked on powder coat is so hard you can smash the bullet with a hammer and the paint don't peel or crack.

Working Christmas week, off New Years (but have a very hard time taking vacation as vacation so already have plans for the entire thing, lol). I start overnights in the barn (ICU shifts with the horses, cows, goats... and whatever else they have in there) tomorrow so plan on being up late tonight to help adjust. Just over 5 months to graduation.

Went to a BassPro in Alberta, Canada last month - really neat place. Sure would like to go back when I actually have money to spend...

Watched the crossfit games on tv yesterday. Life has kept me out of the gym for several months. Hopeto start back soon.
