I mentioned in that other property line thread that BLM did a survey and I gained 200 feet or so. I was by there so I took a couple pictures. The first picture shows 200 feet of rock which they say I now own. Could be useful for raising mountain goats. I got to thinking I also gain 200 feet headed the other direction. So across the river every 217 feet that way I gain an acre. So maybe 3 acres and then it hits another canyon of steep rock.

I gotta ask, what is an acre of that land worth? Not enough to be worth a survey?
Not sure. I have heard $1,000 an acre. But i didn't pay that much 8 years ago including house, shop, barn, and 70 acres irrigated. The survey was by the BLM. What is money to them? Those surveyors were up there for about 2 months. They covered a lot of country. That was in 2023. In 2024 any flagging or wood stakes they put in would have burned.
