Propane thread on trucks reminded me I need to price out a larger tank (for my house). Have a 500 gallon tank and lock prices in summer. However, that fine print leaves all kinds of weasel room for transportation surcharges and I found myself with a larger than anticipated bill when they had to truck in propane from out of state last Fall.

Own my tank and certain I will buy larger one vs. renting to maintain flexibility. What does a 500 and 1,000 gallon tank run in your neck of the woods?

i don't have any tank I cannot load on a trlr to fill it. I have 2 500's I was out for a week during a hurricane and having a whole house gen isn't much help when ya cannot run it. luckily for me I didn't run out..but having the other tank I loaded it and they filled it at the store in town that was still up and running..now unloading it...that was a different game all together
