problems after casting calf

I bought a calf that had a boken front left leg above fetlock due to being pulled. Break was set and casted by vet. We let it heel for 4 wks before removing cast. Once removed there was swelling and seemed to still have a soft spot. I let her be for a couple days she still wasn't using it at all. I cut a piece of the cast down and splinted it for a week. Just took it off seems like some swelling has went down but her knee seems inflamed and as if she doesnt have full extension in her knee. Any advice on what to do to get mobilty back?
