I only have 11 mamas and 4 have tore up and caused so many problems this week by being AHs They have earned rides into town. They have tore up enough fencing gates and caused so many problems that the sale of one will eat up repairs and replacement costs. They tore up the divider in the trailer it is crazy they already are not worth much and they do this. Nope I will replace those with whatever polled Hereford heifers or calves I can find.

We call those types of cows mossy horns. The ones we buy that get pulled out of the mountains covered in moss. Haven't bought one in years because of that. Sorry it has been a tough go.

What triggered them?

One crazy one showing her tail to other half crazy ones and they all joined in for the festivities. I was moving them and that's when the problems started.

That'll do it. If there is a crazy one in the bunch, they can and will lead the others astray, and it don't take much to trigger them either.

Good riddance!.. I've gotten rid of most of my idiots, still have a few that push my fences, and one that can clear a 6' fence if she feels like (OK, she never QUITE clears it)

They always seen to clip that top fence board on the way out

I have a couple, but the one that sticks in my head, when I needed to wean, that b!t$# would take not only her calf but about 4 others around the other side of the catchpen. If she didn't raise such a good calf, it would be 3030 time for the grief she's caused me.
