I read a comment somebody posted on that page. Farmers should raise less acres/ or cows, and make more money. Take control of the supply. Impossible for a bunch of independents to do of course, but none the less a noble dream.

This article only wants to take into consideration domestic cattle and that is not the case now. They better throw in there the flood of beef hitting our shores also. Latter 2016 will be a different story than now. As stated about each farmer is an individual business competing against every other farm business and collective bargaining among ourselves would never work.
