Don't have any mountains, but do get some nice sunsets.

We get some pretty spectacular sunsets here. This one stretched clear across the sky. I couldn't get it all in one picture.

It seems like it starts dropping faster when it gets lower in the horizon.

"Seems" is correct. An illusion because when 'the sun approaches' the horizon, our eyes see both the sun and the horizon, and the horizon becomes a point of reference. There is also the matter of a flatter angle of vision, but it's mostly just because we have a reference point.

The sunset/sunrise green flash tho, is real.
