Pregged heifers today

Works out to about 20% opens. Not bad with a short breeding, which is good for finding the most fertile. The way those big open heifers have been selling it won't hurt too much.
 
Bull wreck???? I must've missed that...

Like @Dave said ... pretty good for a short breeding time.... didn't allow for any to catch on the 2nd heat which we figure is still pretty good... someone will be able to use the opens I am sure...

We turned 15 bulls in with these heifers, 3 yearlings, 8 fat two year olds and 4 older bulls. 12 days later only 7 of them were walking on all 4 legs. Bought 3 more yearlings to finish the last half. All these bulls are sound now. Bulls are like cowboys, they are either fighting, fornicating or tearing things up for the sheer joy of it.

Wait a minute. By saying bulls are like cowboys. You could give bulls a bad name.

This time of the year at the sale there are pens with 8, 10, 12 big heifers that have zeros painted on their hip. Off they go to the feedlots to be finished.
