My oldest brother lost his youngest girl early this morning. She is in her 30's. She had been I'll with the flu like symptoms. She thought she was getting better but went to the hospital Sunday to get something for the cough and she figured bronchitis. Went home with meds, clear xray showing bronchitis and possible whopping cough. Early Monday she was in the er again in mesa, almost unresponsive. New xray, chest is about black. They put her on life support, but her lungs were hemeraging and it would not work. They did airvac her to phoenix where they got a machine hooked up to remove blood and reoxegenize it and replacing it. They attempted and could not find and stop the bleeding and she passed. This is what this strain of flu can do to you in less than 24 hours. My brother lives in Northern NY and I am praying he can get a flight before the storms hit. I don't believe there is an easy way from Syracuse to the west. Hold your loved ones tight, and be very carful the rest of the flu season.
