Have any of you used the Power Pellets from Pro-Serve, Inc. for Mesquite trees in pasture? I'm considering using it, but it's an EPA toxicity class I. Do any of you have experience with it?

Thanks.

They ain't worth a darn on mesquite in my experience. You may kill a portion of the rootstock but I've never been able to kill the whole plant. Remedy or Reclaim works if you use it right.
This site is a good source for info. on mesquite control - http://texnat.tamu.edu/BrushBusters/Mesquite.htm

Power Pellets (hexazinone/velpar) will kill the heck out of yaupons, bumelia and, if you're not careful, oak trees. They will help kill brush off of fencelines too but, again, be careful about desirable trees. Half a pellet per clump will nail smut grass also.
