Pounds Per Cow?

How many pounds of feed do you give to pairs, cows, or heifers a day?

Usually they are on pasture and eat however much they want.
IF we feed bales, it is round bales of brome grass. Sometimes add some cornstalk bales. IF we feed grain, it is 5# of ground ear corn/head/day. Pairs count as 1 head until the calves really start nosing around and eating pretty decent. Then just increase a little for them.

right if you have grass let them at it. if not, feed full hay. pairs could use a little grain if hay is poor
