Have yall ever seen a potato gun? Its a pvc pipe and uses hairspray as propellant. The thing will launch a nice size baking potato about 250 yards .

YEP. They are neet. I don't know about 250 yards but it will tear a picket fence up in a hurry. I always liked Auqua Net the best. Cheapest at my grocery store.

Now, don't laugh, but bringing out the potato gun to shoot half-rotten peaches or other fruit was a highlight at a family reunion last year. At night, you can see the flames shoot out of the 'barrel'. Great stuff.

Ah, the fun of flammable materials and an ignitor.

Aqua Net is my propellant of choice too. I once thought I'd make a pistol version of a potato gun with a 3/4" PVC barrel, and call it 'Tater Tot. Just never got around to it.

I told my Son, I'd make him one sometime, I'm in the developmental stages of the "Spud Scud" I've been toying with the idea of a Pumpkin Launcher, to get rid of those Halloween leftovers.Could fuel it with quick start.

My wifes aunt is a school teacher. She had a two girls in her class over the years with memorable names . One was Aquanetta. The other was female (pronounced like it had an apostrophe female'.)

I just got the plans to build one. Looks like tons of fun. The man who drew up the plans says he uses starting fluid. Can't wait to get it built.

Probably a lot safer then the one we built many moons ago that used black powder for a propellent. We shot tennis balls and man did they fly across the desert.
