I've been asked to post a picture of a bull calf and his dam. How do you like to see pictures for evaulatiing bulls and their dams. Do you like to see them with their winter coats as they are currently in the field , or do you like to see them washed and groomed? A picture of them in the summer is not do-able at this time.

Thanks for your relpies.

post them in their working clothes, not washed groomed or posed, please. This tells me a lot more about the cattle and not so much about your ability to fit an animal.

I do think that a lot of show cattle are over clipped, over primped, over groomed, overwashed, etc BUT I do think a sale clipped bull, steer, heifer, or cow is a lot easier too evaluate than say a herd of Angus after a winter in Montana for example. Every yak looks alike until you start cutting that hair off.
